A World Where Everyone Plays.......

Evidential Music Studio  teaches a remarkable playing-based piano method that offers a breakthrough in music education.   This unique approach has beginning students of all ages playing great-sounding contemporary, classical, blues, jazz and accompaniment pieces - immediately - from their very first lessons!  Traditional piano methods insist that beginning students first learn to read music as the means of learning how to play.  Although learning to read music is an important aspect of becoming a well-rounded musician, in the beginning stages it impedes the progress of learning how to play.  Too often students become discouraged by their slow progress and give up before reaching their goals.  In fact, expecting a student to read music before they can play is really like expecting a child to read & spell before they can talk talk!   Using a natural 'hands-on' approach gives students immediate access to musical self-expression by immersing them in the process of playing.  From their first lessons, they learn to play songs with both hands together and relate directly to the instrument while developing a natural 'feel' for the keyboard.  After building a large playlist of 30+ songs covering a broad range of styles, music reading is introduced and taught within it's own natural context.  Since a strong foundation of playing is established by this point students are ready to go on and study the more formal aspects of music education.
